Awwww

Posted : 10 years, 7 months ago on 30 April 2007 01:27 (A review of The Notebook)

I think this is one of the few romantic comedies that guys admit to liking. Every guy I know who watched it had a mysterious case of "allergies" at the end. That's a slam dunk right there ladies:)

Enjoyable

Posted : 10 years, 7 months ago on 30 April 2007 01:00 (A review of Shaun of the Dead)

Ok, so I'll admit this was not a movie I would've chosen to watch on my own, my boyfriend kept insisting we watch it and so finally I caved, and guess what, I liked it. Guess I should listen to him more often.

It was funny and the love story (yeah, a love story, I didn't believe my boyfriend when he said that either. I thought he was just trying to play into the whole "girls will watch anything with a romantic storyline" stereotype), was sweet. Plus, its british, how can you go wrong with british humour and zombies?

Seeriously good

Posted : 10 years, 7 months ago on 30 April 2007 12:55 (A review of The Departed)

Holy cow there are a lot of good actors in this movie, all speaking with a thick Boston accent. That's why you should see it, seeriously. No, but seriously, a great movie. Definitely tense, and I think DiCaprio was great (and no, I didn't/don't have posters of him plastered all over my wall). His situation was tense and I felt like I needed to take a Xanax for him to keep his head from exploding from the stress of being an undercover cop in the mob while trying not to be uncovered by the mob guy who is undercover as a cop. You will enjoy this movie, trust me. Seeeriously. Nomahhhh. Wicked. Ok, I'll stop now.

If somebody told you what would happen t

Posted : 10 years, 8 months ago on 15 March 2007 03:54 (A review of Stranger Than Fiction)

would you try to change it or would you let it ride? Will Ferrell is not his usual zany self, but he is good in this role. Emma Thompson rocks out as usual as the "author" of Will's fate. I really liked this movie and you will too, when you watch it. How do I know you'll watch it? Maybe I'm the author of your fate, muuahahahahaha....
